I know that most to all sites  offer donations, but what if there was an incentive to donate to the site? I just recently donated to a popular graphics site and I received "VIP" access to several features that regular users would otherwise not have.

For a site like this, if I were a random person who just found out about this site (not by NGW, Youtube, etc.) I probably wouldn't want to donate to the site in any way. Maybe if there was a reason to donate to the site, a lot of people would want to shell out a required amount of money to get those features/bonuses.

I'm not saying this should be done immediately but rather something to be implemented when the primary updates (awards, post count, etc.) are up.

As long as the prize ain't that high, and it don't "push" unpaying users away (specially those who have been active members for a long time), it could be an idea.

I was thinking of something like $5-$15 to gain access to exclusive features. It's not too high, and it is not too little for the two to be dissapointed over.

I've got some ideas written down, but actually implementing them could take a while. I agree that the reward for donating shouldn't be huge. Premium profiles, no banner ads (can't turn off video ads unfortunately), stuff like that
