Has anyone used this for videos or guides. It's a cheap capture software, basically a usb drive with component cable attachments. Just wondering if it's a good software over the dazzle. I'm somewhat interested in contributing to the site.

Component on Dazzle? Isn't that composite?

What I used when I used capture card (hauppauge PCI thing), is DScaler. If configurated corrent, the quality is awesome with it. Depending on the dazzle tho.

"You get what you pay for"

The EasyCap is better than a handheld video camera for sure, but a Dazzle blows it out of the water. If you can afford a dazzle, i'd recommend it. Also, be aware of fake EasyCaps. There are many fakes out there.

I used to own a dazzle before I switched to an Intensity Pro, so I can help you with the setup and making a makeshift splitter If the one you buy doesn't have an output.

About Dazzle.. is Dazzle DV100 still for sale anywhere?

I could need an USB-recording device, the HD PVR ain't that portable.

I had a rev2 DVC 100 that I bought on Amazon.

bit.ly/ftl0cH <--ebay. Most likely the best place to get one.

If you still want HD and need a portable solution, I can suggest taking a look at the Intensity Shuttle. It's about the same price as a PVR.

I'll buy this at some point, but I'll wait in case the prize falls. I don't need right now, just want.

It's cheaper than my "Hauppauge! ImpactVCB" PCI card, so don't know if it's that good, but the 100 model seems to be awesome, so why not 101 too.
