I have a iMac (USB 2.0) and LG TV. What HD capture card can I get other than the Hauppauge PVR?

Intensity Pro is PCI, which wouldn't fit, and the Shuttle needs USB 3.0. You don't have a whole lot of other options. Why not a PVR? There is 3rd party software on the web that works on Mac OS with it. You can't really find a 'true HD' capture card for that much cheaper. There is that Pinnacle Dazzle HD, but that's just a gimmick that uses Composite (SD) input.

And theres always  the Elgato, although i don't know anyone who owns one.

This is for your own good: Get a PC.

@Jevrio

Thats a great idea! Get a whole new pc for $600+ thats decent plus the cost of the HD capture card.

Macs aren't the worst thing to happen to the PC industry. They just are overpriced. They are built to last, actually. I can vouch for it.

"Put an apple sticker in it and double the prize"

You can get a decent gaming PC, or just a PC to edit video from capture device for about 6-7000NOK. Not the most badass piece of shit on the market, but more than decent. HD capture device should be about 2000NOK or something around that. You can also just record PC games (however, for this you might want some more HDD's, but that's overall worth it, since they can be used for many things).

Macs are cancer. On that one we'll just have to agree to disagree.

I'm not getting a PC. Getting HD Capture for my birthday. I might get the PVR but I have been told BlackMagic is so much better. Guess PVR Is the only option :/

You've been told BlackMagic is good, but whatever "PVR" is, is the only option for an unknown reason? Makes sense.

Really want to say more about my feelings for macs, and other apple products, but if you've already bought one, I guess it's to late to rescue you. R.I.P. Not really.

Jevrio, I've tried to like you. I've disagreed, but I really have tried to like you, just like I try to like everyone on this site. But you know what? You're pathetic. You're an immature douchebag who doesn't respect other people's opinions. Cooler just said that he is happy with his mac and that he is not changing, but since the world obviously revolves around you, his opinion doesn't count and you are the trend-setter of the site. Now, I'm not going to argue any further since it isn't getting us anywhere, but I suggest you start changing your attitude on this site.  If you keep flaming, you won't have a very good time. I can assure you.

@RvBFreak

*applause*

Mac = School, rendering, recording

PC = everything else

I thought everybody knew that.
