Dazzle w/ Component - Help.

I remember an article NextGenWalkthroughs posted but must have been lost in the transfer. I think it was about using component cables with the dazzle.

I've had an Xbox 360 for three years and it came with component cables. If I set it to 'SD' and plug the component cables into my TV and put the composite cables into the Dazzle, will I be able to capture footage without any splitters? This would be great because it cuts down on wires and no quality is lost from splitters.

I believe if you set it from SD it will only send the signal to the Composite (yellow) cable, not the Component (Red Blue Green) cables.

A relatively easy way to test: Set it to SD, and see if you still get picture through Component.

If you end up buying a Dazzle and it doesn't work, I guess it won't really matter since AVI cables/splitters cost less than $10 and there isn't as much quality loss through splitting as you might think (especially unnoticeable on something like YouTube).

I'll try to test it out now, thank you. If it doesn't work than you would of saved me about £40 / $65.

I'll reply with my results when I've tried.
