...I should just lock your topic, but I can't do that yet. So.

when a critic complains halo is the same old thing and gives it a 5/10 and then moves on the CoD and gives it a 10/10 what the FUCK!

Please give me the source on this critic website, because I'm sure every major reviewer website out there that I frequent has Halo's and Call of Duty's scores relatively on par with each other.

I mean, show me at least ONE score from a respected website with a 50% difference from Halo's to CoD's scores. I would have to give in to your argument.

it was more an example OSad and a bit exaggerated although i do remember reading it in a magazine some where (i think!) the score was 7.5 to 9.5 or something like that. and to Whiplash yes i am pissed off about it.

So you've read a random review at a magazine some time ago, remembered it, got pissed off again, and decided to make a thread about a point that isn't even valid?

Well, I'd say you're taking reviewer scores too seriously, but this is almost amusing.

This is why I feel that all reviews should have a similar scoring system to the old style Kotaku reviews, where there is no number for a score and instead the quality of the game is based purely on it's good and bad points in the form of red and blue bullet points near the end of the review.

So rather than a 3 representing an unplayable piece of shit, eight red bullet points and two blue bullet points would represent an unplayable piece of shit.

Oh and just to be on topic, let's just say that both COD and Halo are both, currently, incredibly lazy in their design and are beginning to stagnate a fair bit and that Duke Nukem Forever will give them a well deserved slap in the face in how to make a shooter fun again.

Now that should be both fanbases thoroughly pissed off at me, so excuse me while I start boarding up my doors and windows to defend myself from the hordes of angry 12 year olds that will inevitably arrive to flame me to death!

it's like Nazi zombies, but with 12 year olds then :p

But I agree: who gives a damn. It's an OPPINION and you should learn to live with that opinion even if you don't agree with it. It's part of an oppinion that it's a bit subjective, that's why you should search for review sites that connect more with your personal opinion and follow them.

Call of Duty is awesome! Almost every game in the series after Call of Duty 4 is 90% dupe of each other! All the lazy morons that makes it want, is money, for as little work as possible.

I did however like MW2's singleplayer, because I wanted to see what happened after Call of Duty 4's ending. And Spec Ops was okay, but boring after a while.

Black Ops's singleplayer was decent or more too. A little different from earlier CoD games, and interessting.

The multiplayer in both MW2 and BO is shit tho. (My opinion!)

In my experience every reviewer bitches about CoD repeating old stuff.

And still they get high ratings because no matter how lazy the devs seem the games are still fun.

If you don't like the MP you can still have fun with the SP. And those who like the MP....well....only the Maps have changed since Modern Warfare. The guns are basically the same, so you get exactly what made you jizz a few years back.

Saying Battlefield, Homefront and any other FPS is a rip off of Battlefield is like saying that All Quiet On The Western Front is a ripoff of The Red Badge Of Courage
