Just started playing Dragon Age Origins for the first time. I'm not huge into fantasy-dragonlike-games, but I played through Masse Effect 1 5 times and I'm on Mass Effect 2 for the 6th time so I figured I would probably like this game. Sure enough it's been pretty fun so far.
Madden 11. As Giantbomb would say, "that's one Madded-ass Madden game." I haven't played this franchise since 2006 and I hopped into this game and felt like nothing changed. In fact, in a way I think the game looks worse than I remembered. Still fun to play franchise mode though.
Need for Speed Shift. This game is a lot better than I anticipated it to be. At first it drove me nuts that the game only lets you play in cockpit view (I've always played in that hover/behind the car view), but after an hour or so I got used to and really started to enjoy the game from that perspective. Sound in the game is really great and best thing about driving fast is going into that tunnel vision mode. Very neat visual effect.
Kane and Lynch 2. Uh, well a couple weeks ago I beat Army of Two 2 and this game is better than that, I'll give it that much. Best thing about this game is the sound. I had my speakers turned up and there was a part where 15-20 enemies are shooting at you, stuff flying everywhere and Lynch was yelling something to me and I couldn't hear a damn word he was saying. Loved it. And like John said in the podcast, it's like playing Heat the game. There's a lot of homages to that movie in this game, especially the last level. Game is too short (beat it on Hard in 4.5 hours) for $60, but it's worth renting if you soley play FPS & 3RDPS games. One thing I did like (and I didnt play 1st one) is that this game had no collectibles. *Slow Clap*.
