Just started playing Dragon Age Origins for the first time.  I'm not huge into fantasy-dragonlike-games, but I played through Masse Effect 1 5 times and I'm on Mass Effect 2 for the 6th time so I figured I would probably like this game.  Sure enough it's been pretty fun so far.

Madden 11.  As Giantbomb would say, "that's one Madded-ass Madden game."  I haven't played this franchise since 2006 and I hopped into this game and felt like nothing changed.  In fact, in a way I think the game looks worse than I remembered.  Still fun to play franchise mode though.

Need for Speed Shift. This game is a lot better than I anticipated it to be.  At first it drove me nuts that the game only lets you play in cockpit view (I've always played in that hover/behind the car view), but after an hour or so I got used to and really started to enjoy the game from that perspective.  Sound in the game is really great and best thing about driving fast is going into that tunnel vision mode.  Very neat visual effect.

Kane and Lynch 2.  Uh, well a couple weeks ago I beat Army of Two 2 and this game is better than that, I'll give it that much.  Best thing about this game is the sound.  I had my speakers turned up and there was a part where 15-20 enemies are shooting at you, stuff flying everywhere and Lynch was yelling something to me and I couldn't hear a damn word he was saying.  Loved it.  And like John said in the podcast, it's like playing Heat the game.  There's a lot of homages to that movie in this game, especially the last level.  Game is too short (beat it on Hard in 4.5 hours) for $60, but it's worth renting if you soley play FPS & 3RDPS games.  One thing I did like (and I didnt play 1st one) is that this game had no collectibles.  *Slow Clap*.

I've been playing Demons Souls's and of course Starcraft II. I plan on playing the new Rockband with the keyboard when it comes out, keyboard will be way more fun than the guitar or drums I think

Good Luck on WaW, on my Giantbomb profile it list my 'beating WaW on veteran achievement' as the most difficult game I beat.  And I didn't do it with co-op either.  Second on that list is Mass Effect 2 on Insanity.  Which is interesting because only the first half of the game is hard (where your abilities are low).

WaW on veteran is such a bitch. It's even harder than CoD4. I guess it's the guns that make it difficult.

Oh I have fond memories of those Zeus grenades. I'd poke my head, take a couple shots, get pegged a few times and duck back into cover, and next thing you know there's grenade indicators all around me.

hell yeah its like its raining grenades and they are so accurate in throwing them too...its like if your ducking behind cover they'll throw them just enough behind u to where u cant run back but u have to run forwards into where all the enemies are that sucks...thnks rebel-ink

Crysis, to test my new computers ability to play games (turning out great: everting on high, native resolution min 20 FPS) it's a macbook pro 15inch.

And a lot of MW2, Cod 4 and CoD W@W because my old pc couldn't run them so good. Also a bit of L4D2, can't wait for that to come to mac so I don't have to start Windows every time I want to play a game.

And I'm going to buy StarCraft 2 this week.

So there you have it.

Yeah, at one point I made the comparison that playing WaW was like being in those Chuckie Cheese Ball Pits, but instead of balls there were grenades.

Mostly MW2 also just got in Red Faction from goozex so gotta give that a try. I need to get back into Red Dead.

Also the main difference between COD4 and W@W was when you died in COD4 you did somthing wrong and was not just a cheap death to make the game longer.

And in MW2, if you try to figure what you did wrong your head just explodes. I gotta give it to Beer Baron, he called MW2 unbalanced from Day 1.

I am like every other MW2 player. I hate the game due to its lack of balance, yet it's the only game I ever play. I just borrowed Halo 3 from a friend, and I have been playing it non stop. Team SWAT is my favorite mode and it really trains your reflexes. When I play Team Slayer and then play MW2, it seems alot easier because you do not have to be nearly as accurate as in Halo 3. Mainly I play FPS games with friends and RPGs like Mass Effect.

@cammyjammy Yep, MW2 is crazy unbalanced and I imagine COD:BO will be the same.  Have you beaten Mass Effect 2 on insanity yet?

I have been playing Red Dead Redemption most recently.  Before that I beat Singularity on a rental, and before that I got my 100% GS on Dragon Age Origins and all the DLC.  I have videos cut for a Dragon Age starters guide, just haven't voiced over them all yet.

@R3b3L iNK I haven't tried Insane yet, but I do like a good challange if it requires skill, not based on how broken or dysfunctional a game is.

@Captain_Morgan

How is that going for ya? I've been able to 100% both the first and the second game. It isn't too difficult especially compared to the first game. It's only like a 100 feathers while the first one had over 400 flags.

I tried to get all of the flags, and I stopped after Masayaf. That was in Assassin's Creed 1. In AC2, I didn't even care about the Auditore cape (unlocked after obtaining 100 feathers). Personally, I hate collectibles in games. Most of the time they are too numerous and not rewarding enough. Odds are that you will end up with some kind of achievement/trophy in the end, but is it worth all the time spent?

ME2 on Insanity wasn't bad until the Husks and the guys who blow shockwaves at you. I tried following Beer Baron's guide, but his strategy didn't work and I just kept dying over and over.

@cammyjammy

Well personally I'm a person who likes to see that 100% on a game. I don't care much for the achievement itself, points, or whatever. I just like to 100% something. So in AC2, when I was done and I needed 2 achievements (feathers and the cape one which you get from them), I had to do it or it would drive me crazy haha.

@cammyjammy & @Semblance  ME2 on Insanity is a ton easier if you play as a Sentinel.  Build up your Warp & Shield and take Miranda w/ Grunt or Thane in missions involving fighting Collectors (toughest missions).  Warp destroys Harbingers (possessed collectors) in seconds.  You, Miranda, and Thane all have the ability.  And I will sometimes opt for Grunt cuz he's a Juggernaut.  He has 2x more health than anyone, his fortification shield is beast, and his shotguns merks Collectors upclose.  Anyways, I'm recording a Beginners Guide to Insanity as we speak, so at the moment I'm full of knowledge.  And I've beaten ME2 on Insanity twice

Been playing the Left 4 Dead series ever since May, when I traded in MW2.  I LOVE the L4D games, they are so well done and the multiplayer modes are great.  Next game I'll probably get will be one of the new NBA games.  I tend to get the new one every year.

Playing Mafia 2 on hard.  I think there's 14 chpaters and I'm on chapter 8.  The most interesting thing about this game is how it uses its sandbox.  It doesnt use it to encourage an open playground, it uses it to drive the story.  I really like this concept.  The Yakuza kinda of do this, but not quite all the way.

I'm currently playing Legend of Mana and Chrono Cross. Both games are amazing. Legend of Mana has you playing the RPG in a world you layout, you start off by choosing where you start on a large world map and then you get like building blocks called artifacts which you choose where to place in order to continue the story. I've only played a little of it so I don't know how this plays out as you progress but it's a pretty amazing innovation for its time. Also, Chrono Cross is different to Chrono Trigger in a lot of ways but it's one of the best RPGs I've ever played.

If you have enough wood, it's a lot more efficient to just make a big hole and use ladders to get back up. That way there's a bigger chance of finding ores and such.
