I came across this story on Gamasutra. I hope EA doesn't acquire them because they will just try to overprice and fuck gamers like they have before, like their online pass concept for example. Activision too cares waaay too much more about the money than the product and the ever important gamers/customers. I would like to see Pop Cap just continue to grow and create quality games. I wouldn't mind to see a big console game release or to partner up with Valve Corporation.

I don't know, EA is usually alright about letting their various developers do whatever they want. Keep in mind, this is the same company that owns Bioware and Valve, two of the big hitters around right now that basically get to do what they want, and make really good quality games. I can understand being hesitant, though, the Man can be quite scary.

EA doesn't own Valve.

I'd rather have EA than Activision have Pop Cap.

Yeah, Activision would have them make bejeweled and PvZ games until everyone is burned out, and then kill off the company. Activision isn't about the players, it's about the money.

Apologies, I meant produced the games of, rather than owned.
