I am currently trying to record videos from my PlayStation 3, and I have ran into a bit of a problem.

I have my PlayStation 3 hooked up to a separate monitor from my computer meaning it is not hooked up to my computer in any way, and is just hooked up to my PlayStation via HDMI to DVI.

My Intensity Pro is installed and the breaker cable that came with it is hooked up to all corresponding component cables from the PlayStation 3 so the input is taken care of.

The output is where I need help is there anyway to record from this separate monitor without using a TV.

I have the latest drivers and software for the BMIP, and I am using Blackmagic Media Express as a capturing program.

Are you trying to do Component input to HDMI output? As far as I know that doesn't work, although I've heard some people figure it out.. Otherwise you need a TV for the components, which is what I have to use.

I have figured it out, I guess I should have updated the original post. I just had to switch the PS3 video output to component in the display settings. HDMI is output, and Component cables are the Input hooked up to the breaker cable that comes with the device.
