PC Watercooling

First off, I'm not sure if this is the correct, designated place for this kind of post, but this one seemed the most appropriate for my question. I guess it does constitute as 'Technical Help'.

During the holidays, I plan on building myself a new computer, but more importantly, thinking of putting a watercooling loop inside. I'm thinking of using a 60mm thick, 240mm radiator to cool just the CPU (not enough room for more radiators so no GPU this time round), and was wondering if anyone in the community has done their own watercooling rig before. If so, I'd like to know if you think its worth it - does the cost and effort pay in dividends in terms of cooling, lower noise and overclocking; if it is an inconvenience; and how difficult and frequent is maintenance.

I'm not asking for a "how-to" just a few heads-up on the topic and the few questions I brought up. Thank you.
