In this video, I show you how to obtain all the Electoons (except the time trial reward) and the Lum Medal for the "Beware of Mini-Murray" level of "The Angsty Abyss".
0:29 - I'm not sure if it's actually possible to defeat both orange fish AND get all three floating Lums without dying. If you attempt to do so, note that you don't have to spin the orange fish twice. Simply bubblizing them and letting the oncoming horde finish them off works too. (You can see an example of this in the time trial video for this level.)
Of all of the references to other games in Rayman Origins, the homage to Pac-Man in the first alcove of this level (1:57) is my favorite.
If you're wondering what I'm doing at 2:44 - 2:46, I briefly pause to synchronize my swimming with the nearby jellyfish in an attempt to maximize my Lum King opportunity.
The alcove challenge at 3:37 is easily my least favorite in the entire game due to the random nature of its difficulty and the fairly artificial level design.
4:44 - I initially skip a bunch of Lum-hoarding vegetation in this wide vertical room to nab these five Lums at the bottom. They're the ones most at risk for becoming inaccessible due to falling debris, so it's wise to dash towards them if you're aching for Lums.
Along with the awful second alcove challenge, I really dislike the room at 5:30. The purple beasts (the titular Mini-Murray?) seem to follow you, but the undulate wildly and aren't particularly easy to predict. The best solution seems to be to stay way ahead of them so that you have plenty of time to adjust your bearing.
At the end of this level, we FINALLY have enough Electoons to unlock the Dark Rayman costume. Would you believe that we unlocked the costume prior to this one 49 parts ago? Dark Rayman is one of the few alternative costumes that I actually like (though in my opinion it unfortunately does not look as good as the Dark Rayman design from Rayman 1), but I think I'll only actually use it when we get to the Land of the Livid Dead.
In this video, I show you how to obtain the Time Trial Trophy for the "Beware of Mini-Murray" level of "The Angsty Abyss".
This is among my least favorite time trials in the game. The large number of straightaways and the ever-present cap on your maximum speed means it tests your patience more than your skills.
