Level 16: Piping Hot! - Rayman Origins

In this video, I show you how to obtain all the Electoons (except the time trial reward) and the Lum Medal for the "Piping Hot!" level of "Gourmand Land".

I'm not sure exactly why this is the case, but performing a punch while holding the sprint button as a miniature Rayman is inefficient at breaking ice cubes. Instead, just mash the attack button and you should zoom in the direction you are aiming.

Is it just me, or do the deep-voiced vocals in the fiery part of this level remind you of Edward Anatolevich Hill (aka, the guy known for "Trololo" / the "Russian Rickroll" song) too?

The way I get the Skull Coin at 3:33 is not the usual way to acquire it. Instead, you can jump on top of the lid of the boiling pot at 3:37 and glide over to the Coin if you're having difficulty replicating what I actually did.

As per usual, it's not impossible to get the Coin at 5:11 without injury, but a sacrificed Heart will result in an easier time whilst still providing a net profit.

The final portion of the level is one of the few places in the game where you seemingly must kill the enemies with a trap and cannot choose to pick them off yourself for more Lums.

In this video, I show you how to obtain the Time Trial Trophy for the "Piping Hot!" level of "Gourmand Land".

I hate this time trial. No wait, let me make it clear: I HATE this time trial. You know, there aren't many times in my life where I've entered a state of pure, unadulterated rage, but some video games know how to push my buttons in just the right way. Trying to do well in this time trial is one of the few things in my game-playing history that truly infuriated me, and it's entirely due to how aggravating it is to consistently pass the first part of the level (with its wall of ice cubes) in an efficient manner. I don't expect you to understand unless you've actually attempted to do what I've done. (Even then, this particular recording wasn't perfect there. A near-perfect path through the cubes can get you to the door in seven seconds.)

Also, honestly, I don't care if I was slower than I could have been at points (and I think I am aware of at least of few places where that was the case). I think it's possible to do this run at least five seconds faster, but the score I got in this hated challenge is good enough for me.
