Steam Trading Card Beta Premature Evaluation
By: John Tarr - Thursday, May 30, 2013 - 9:52am

Steam has released a new feature that lets you collect and trade cards, craft badges, and unlock lots of cosmetic options. As if I needed another reason to love Steam.

Metro Last Light Premature Evaluation
By: John Tarr - Wednesday, May 15, 2013 - 4:49pm

Metro Last Light is an absolutely amazing single player experience that I cannot recommend highly enough.

Aliens: Colonial Marines Premature Evaluation
By: John Tarr - Wednesday, February 20, 2013 - 11:47am

This game should mostly be played at night, mostly.

Scratch that. This game should never be played. HUGE THUMBS DOWN.

Thumbs up from Zombenjamin for Warframe, a cooperative free-to-play online action game set in an evolving sci-fi world.

By: John Tarr - Wednesday, January 16, 2013 - 5:05pm

I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun I had with the combat system in DmC through two playthroughs.

It's FREE! And it's Mega Man. Great combination.

This free to play, Diablo 2 style RPG has some serious depth.

Far Cry 3 is a surprisingly diverse game that should be on everybody's must play list.

Premature Evaluations: Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse
By: John Tarr - Wednesday, November 21, 2012 - 6:37pm

Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse has many similarities to The Simpsons Game; sub-par controls, graphics, mission design and gameplay, but TONS of fan service that will keep any fan of the show laughing.

Premature Evaluations - Hitman: Absolution
By: Dan Broadbent - Tuesday, November 20, 2012 - 12:39pm

The fifth installment in the Hitman series is a great place to start. I thoroughly enjoyed playing Hitman: Absolution as my first Hitman experience. Great stealth, unique environments, tons of disguises, funny dialogue and awesome ways to kill people make it easy to recommend.

Premature Evaluations - Black Ops 2
By: John Tarr - Monday, November 19, 2012 - 10:56pm

Black Ops 2's single player has some incredibly unique divergent storyline choices, and while multiplayer features "more of the same", BO2 has a lot of features that will keep me playing online for a long time.

By: John Tarr - Tuesday, November 13, 2012 - 11:41pm

There is no ranked, competitive multiplayer in Halo 4. I have not read a single review yet that mentions this fact.

Halo 4's single player is a good campaign in a great franchise.

Premature Evaluations: Assassin's Creed 3 Single Player
By: John Tarr - Thursday, November 1, 2012 - 2:37pm

Assassin's Creed 3 is an excellent game, but left out some of my favorite elements from AC2 and Brotherhood that made me love the series originally.

Premature Evaluations - Medal of Honor: Warfighter
By: John Tarr - Thursday, October 25, 2012 - 1:34pm

Meh. There's nothing particularly memorable or terrible about this game. If you're looking for an average FPS with a 6-8 hour campaign, you're in luck.

Premature Evaluations - 007 Legends
By: John Tarr - Wednesday, October 17, 2012 - 3:37pm

Goldfinger, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Licence to Kill, Die Another Day and Moonraker. No Goldeneye anywhere. And Skyfall will be free DLC. I think I'd rather play a game with Hank Scorpio as the main villain.

Premature Evaluations - Dishonored
By: John Tarr - Tuesday, October 9, 2012 - 11:42am

This stealth, sandbox assassination game with a huge amount of replayability is immediately a favorite for game of the year.

Premature Evaluations: Resident Evil 6 Take 2
By: John Tarr - Friday, October 5, 2012 - 2:56pm

I wasn't happy with how the previously Premature Evaluation for Resident Evil 6 turned out, so we recorded a second one that I think does a much better job showing off my many issues with this game.
