Part 12 - Tuchanka: Bomb - Mass Effect 3

MetalInsurgent's picture

The Turians and Salarians had to infect the Krogan with the Genophage because Krogan bred like rabbits before the Genophage which made the Krogan outnumber all of the other species. If you couldn't tell, Krogan are very aggressive, so they started conquering planets owned by the other species which forced the other species to do the Genophage. Also, Mordin regretted his work on the Genophage modification which is why he's helping to cure it.

The last 10 minutes were so bad that people think that it was a hallucination. Horrible. If you want to see the theory just google indoctination theory.

Thanks Metalinsurgent for the explanation. Its like calling america evil for dropping the A-bomb on japan. Its not like the krogan were peaceful, they started a war that could have destroyed the council races.

Hopefully you didn't mean to sound as ignorant as your comment. The killing of THOUSANDS of innocent people should never be justified.  Let's think before we hit the 'send' button next time son.

A study by the US Joint Chiefs conducted in April of 1945 indicated that a US invasion of the Japanese mainland would incur almost 400,000 fatalities, with over a million and a half wounded.  Japanese casualties would be similarly high, not to mention civilian casualties.

The Japanese population had been cut off from outside information and led to believe that American soldiers would rape and murder them.  During the Pacific Island campaigns, many Japanese civilians threw themselves at American lines in suicidal attacks or simply leapt off island cliffs rather than suffer the fate that the Imperial government had led to believe awaited them.  In light of this, those who died in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, horrible though their deaths were, were far less than would have been killed or would have killed themselves.

Additionally, an American invasion of the densely populated main islands would have led to massive destruction of infrastructure, which would have crippled Japan's postwar recovery, and would have led to the destruction of far more than simply two cities.

Horrible though the atomic bombings were, they saved far more lives than they cost.
