Sega Genesis with Mortal Kombat for me. I'd say that's one hell of a way to kick start my gaming addiction.
My first video gaming system was the atari 2600, but I was 3 so it shouldnt really count. However, when I was in 2nd grade I got an nes for about $30, along with super mario bros 3.
For the NES I had 72 full nintendo games on 1 cartridge. Heads and shoulders above noobs on my first game cartridge.
Also you aren't a man if you dont have the Mario Bros./Duck Hunt combo. Get with the program.
I always remember my megadrive as the first console I owned, I must have spent countless hours playing on Sonic 1 + 2 and Micro Machines (it was the first game I came across that allowed for 4 player multi-play with controller ports physically built into the cartridge). Then when I was 16 and completely retarded I sold it to a game shop for the laughable amount of £13 for it and all the games I had.
After the megadrive I got a playstation for my 7th birthday, I think, with Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot 2, which completely blew my tiny mind.
I started of on a 12 year NES playing SMB3 and Friday the 13th the Game at the age of 6. Then I was given a PS1 by a rich friend with Crash, Croc 2, a Yugioh game and Army men. I played that thing to no end. My collection of PS2 games numbers in the 30's now with RE4 and the entire JAK and daxter series.
Also should the next poll be gaming related or Podcast Related.
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Yoshi's Island, Bomberman, and Mega Man X were my favorites as a kid.
My first system I owned was a Game boy. The original one, ya know? The grey electronic brick that took 4 AA batteries and had no color. Later on I got a Game Gear and a Genesis.
