Might I recommend Apocalypse Max on iOS for a future Premature Evaluation? The concept boils down to Metal Slug meets zombies, but the platforming actually works on the iPad, and I adore the animated visuals.

I'm impressed. Going off the trailer it looks like Captain America, Thor and Iron Man are supposed to be released as free episodic content at some point. That kind of helps justify the $7 price.
