Bethesda vs Mojang is going to court...

Earlier this year, Markus "Notch" Persson, the big man from Mojang, has received a legal notice from Bethesda saying that their (still in development) new game "Scrolls" interfeers with Bethesda's well known franchise "The Elder Scrolls".

the legal notice Notch received

Though Notch just thought this was just "Lawyers being Lawyers", Bethesda has taken this case to court.

The Scrolls case is going to court! Weee! :D

So it seems on one side: Bethesda was being serious, but Notch himself doesn't seem to want to back down yet. Though he joked earlier that he wanted to settle this with a game of Quake 3:

I challenge Bethesda to a game of Quake 3. Three of our best warriors against three of your best warriors,” Notch writes. “We select one level, your select the other, we randomize the order. 20 minute matches, highest total frag count per team across both levels wins.

I am serious, by the way

Bethesda up till now hasn't released a official statement about this.

So as they say: let the games begin.

I don't think that Bethesda has any chance of winning anything out of this. Then again, I also thought this had no chance of going to court. If you want any further proof of how terrible I am at making predictions, than look at my standings in the Pick Em' League.

If I were him I'd rename it just to save everybody time and money, how little it might be. Oh well, still buying Skyrim and probably playing that over Minecraft for a year or two.
