It's been an age-old question, one that's dawned on the playgrounds of schoolchildren since the creation of comic books: Who would win in a fight between Superman and Batman?
Like many others well versed in the brawlers of NetherRealm Studios, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe failed to scratch that nerd itch with its toned down violence and awkward setting. Instead, Ed Boon and his development team are finally embracing the hero/villain realm in earnest without the campy crossovers while the combat remains rooted in the traditional 2D format. However, the characters now brutalize each other with the aid of environmental hazards as seen when Wonder Woman smashes a car over her opponent's head.
Sadly, reports still label the rating as Teen. Sorry Mortal Kombat fans, but we won't be splitting Bruce Wayne in half from head to toe this time (blame DC). Look forward to Injustice: Gods Among Us on the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U in 2013.
Fighters shown include Harley Quinn, Batman, Superman, Solomon Grundy, Wonder Woman, and The Flash.
