Mother of God. John is playing Final Fantasy XIII because of what I said about it. Today is a great day to be me. As Mr. Bison would say to such an occasion like this:

I'll have to add in one DLC pack I downloaded back in October that I think should've been in this list. Dark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss. There were a few parts of the content that was on the disk prior to the expansion pack being released. But, you know what they did? They released it a year after the game launched. From Software made an example of themselves with how to do DLC right, and not like other companies (I'm looking at you Capcom and EA.)

My picks for GotY have got to be:

Xbox 360:

Borderlands 2

PS3 (essentially runner-up for GotY):

N/A (I don't play Mobile games)

Borderlands 2 - Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage

Walking Dead (though I'll give an honorable mention to Journey)

As for what I am looking forward to in the coming year(s), I am looking forward to Dark Souls 2, although I am worried that the absence of Miyazaki as Director will detract from what made Souls such an incredible experience.

I am also looking forward to Watch_Dogs as I mentioned in the previous episode, along with Crysis 3 since it has the ever ubiquitous meme: Can it run Crysis?

Bioshock Infinite is another game I'm looking forward to as well, since I loved the first Bioshock and I'm actually playing through that again to prepare for what's in store. And then the last game I'm anticipating is:

Lightning Returns. It shouldn't come as a surprise that I'm looking forward to this. I'm actually curious about the prospect of the World Driven mechanic, in conjunction with the Kingdom Hearts-esque combat. That, and I'm still a sucker for the lore behind the Fabula Nova Crystallis mythos (which is also what Versus and Agito XIII center around, albiet they vary in substance for each game.)

I look forward to contributing with more thought-provoking topics in the future.

Here are my choices for GotY.

Xbox: Halo 4

PS3: Far Cry 3

PC: DayZ

DLC: From Ashes

DLG: Walking Dead

Future: the actual DayZ

I assume that Whiplash's picks are all going to be FFXIII related down the line. Here are mine.

Xbox: Far Cry 3; Halo didn't do enough

PS3: AC3; Simon is playing this game on the wrong console

PC: Far Cry 3; do not underestimate how good this game looks on PC

DLC: From Ashes; for reasons you explain on the podcast

DLG: Walking Dead; episodic gaming done right

Road ahead: GTA V; hopefully something prodding back at THQ for bankruptcy and Saint's Row 3?

Did you not read my post from earlier?

That... definitely was not there the first time I read it. Apologies if it was.

Game of the year.

I only own a PC so I can't vote for most of your categories.

My game of the year is The Walking Dead followed by Spec Ops The Line.

Since you have a DLG categorie I will name Spec Ops as my PC goty and Walking Dead as the best DLG.

Best Mod is obviously DayZ. I have sunk days in that was pathetic....and awesome.

And the best DLC was from Ashes since even with all the bs it still gave us one of the best characters this year.

For next year I'm really psyched for DayZ Standalone and Rome2. I really hope my PC can handle that game.

I feel insanely stupid for just realizing what your name is all about.
