The M16A4 is an American Assault Rifle that appears in Battlefield 3.

"The 4th generation of M16 is equipped with a removable carry handle, a RIS (Rail Interface System) for mounting accessories, and is capable of Automatic, 3 Round Burst, and Semi-Automatic fire. The original flaws of the M16 design have all but been eliminated and the AR15 platform upon which it is built is the standard rifle of the USMC. Low recoil with a high rate of fire, the M16 is a good medium range weapon."

Trivia

• In Battlefield 3 Alpha, the M16A4 had the option to be fully automatic. However, later in development, the fully automatic feature was taken away, and another variant of the M16, the M16A3, was implemented into the game with fully automatic fire instead.
